Exceptional extra care homes that support the local community

With sixty innovatively designed award-winning homes that help people to live independently and safely, Gladstone House is an integral part of the local community.

Winner of Best Inclusive Building at the Local Authority Building Control Awards. Completed for Newark and Sherwood Homes on behalf of Newark and Sherwood District Council, the building is designed to help those with low-level dementia. Apartments are fully equipped and residents have access to bright and spacious communal areas, including a cafeteria, ensuring they can live as independently as possible. Corridors are cleverly designed, each with unique themed decor to aid navigation. Built with sustainability in mind, the living green wall and atrium green roofs absorb rainwater, providing insulation and reducing energy consumption.

Working with Henry Boot Construction for the first time on a project of this nature has been very pleasing and we are delighted with the end product and feel certain it will be a huge success with the new residents. We look forward to working with Henry Boot Construction in the future.

An exceptional work ethic

The site team worked closely with the client to deliver the project on time and to budget. The site team were also dedicated to working with the local community, including by donating materials and man power to local charities and inviting local nurseries, schools and colleges to visit the site. Several trainees from the local area also benefitted from work experience placements on the site.
